What is functional medicine?
According to The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine at the National Institutes of Health and Integrative Medicine, functional medicine combines mainstream medical therapies and CAM therapies. This approach is supported by reliable scientific evidence of safety and effectiveness.
Functional medicine is a medicine model which is an individualized, patient-centered, science-based approach that empowers patients and practitioner to work together and address the underlying causes of disease and promote optimal wellness.
Sherri is a fellow of integrative medicine from the University of Arizona, Tucson under the tutelage of Andrew Weil and has her certification in functional medicine with the Institute for Functional Medicine.

Do you do prescribe bioidentical hormones?
This is an extremely important question. I only prescribe to pharmacies like Sierra Compounding Pharmacy in Reno, Nevada, and Infinity Pharmacy Solutions in Arkansas. These are PCAB-certified and accredited prescriptions. These treatments meet the highest quality and safety standards. Bioidenticals mimic the human hormones your body secrets. They are nevertheless synthetically derived hormones unlike various, traditional western prescriptions (i.e., Premarin) which do not mimic the human ovarian hormones.
Do you take insurance?
No. All payments are due at the time of service.
How do you charge?
Prices vary based on the intensity and duration of the treatment or consultation.
Are remote appointments available?
Absolutely. I offer secure and confidential appointments online when appropriate.
How long does it take to see improvement?
That depends on the illness and complaint. But I want to discourage people from the “speedy” train of thought. This is the great Saboteur archetype working in our psyches. We see it promoted by the fast food industry and the pharmaceutical companies. On the other hand, I believe. We have a body for a lifetime. We need to be committed and dedicated to whatever it takes. I encourage my patients to work within that belief system.
Can I combine your treatment with conventional medicine?
Absolutely!
I'm a current patient and I have set up my ChARM account.
